The weather has been all over the place these last few days. Two days ago it was in the sixties, yesterday it was snowing, and today is a blusterous 24 degrees. Sadly the snow did not stick, but it was an ever so lovely surprise to wake up to. After living in Florida for five months, it has been hard getting used to the bipolar weather of North Carolina. It is also hard to go from having an amazing theme park in your backyard to attending classes everyday. Working for Disney certainly spoiled me, and it is taking a lot of self control to not drop out of school and ask for my job back. Though I'm pretty sure if I went back before finishing school, I would end up staying there forever (which honestly doesn't sound half bad).

Valentine's Day
I had the perfect Valentine's Day listening to the Greensboro Big Band and watching couples who have been together for 40+ years dance the Foxtrot, the Jitterbug, and the West Coast Swing. To see couples that have been together that long, that still love each other, and can still get out on the dance floor was really refreshing. I don't know what everyone's deal is with Valentine's Day, it's a day centered around celebrating romance, love, and chocolate. What's not to love about February 14th?

Inspired by: Beautiful Hair
Lately I've been in a hair slump, mostly due to the fact that my hair desperately needs to be cut and dyed. For the past couple years I've had pretty short hair, and every attempt to grow it out has ended in me making a rash decision to tell the hair dresser to just cut it all off again. My trips to the hair dresser are always spontaneous and never thought through. I'm just super impatient and hate the in-between stage. Why can't my hair just magically grow 12 inches over night? Maybe if I just bask in the glory of beautiful long hair, my own hair will take a hint. A girl can dream.

The Most Magical Place on Earth
From September 2012 till January 2013 I was interning at Walt Disney World in the Disney College Program. The whole experience was an incredible dream come true and I am so happy I went through with it. I was placed in merchandising in Downtown Disney at Disney Days of Christmas, where I worked with the most amazing group of people. I lived in Disney housing with some of the sweetest girls, who I know I'll keep in contact with. When I was not working I was gallivanting around one of the four parks, taking on the crowds to either ride attractions, see shows, or meet characters. I was basically eating, sleeping, and breathing Disney for five months. I graduated the program with a lifetime of memories. If you are considering applying, do not hesitate! It literally is the most magical place on earth!
